We hold monthly “Support Group” meetings for survivors of brain injury, Also for carers.
By meeting with others,who have experienced, or are experiencing similar situations, valuable insights can be learned about coping with one’s own situation. It helps to remove the feeling of isolation.
There are facilities for confidential conversations and/or appointments can be made for further talks if there is a need.
At the meetings, the Headway literature on various aspects of the aftermath of head injury are available.
There are speakers who come to talk to us sometimes about relevant subjects, but other talks can relate to other services or interests.
